About your instructor
Dr. Fredrick Allan Martin
I’m Dr. Fredrick Allan Martin, a Family Physician, Geriatrician, and former U.S. Navy Lieutenant Commander with more than four decades of clinical experience. For 20+ years, I served as a Residency Director and Clinical Faculty Member, guiding medical students and residents through the transition from training to independent practice.
Â
Since 2004, I’ve also led international medical teams in places like Malawi, Honduras, and Nepal. In these settings, I’ve worked alongside trainees in low-resource hospitals, teaching how to deliver safe, ethical, and respectful care when the usual tools aren’t available.
Â
What I’ve seen over and over is this: the students and residents who prepare well—not just clinically, but also logistically and culturally—thrive abroad and return home with skills and stories that shape their entire careers.
Â
That’s why I created Global Health Rotations Mastery—to give you the same guidance I’ve provided my residents for years: a step-by-step framework to plan your rotation, practice safely, and make the most of this life-changing experience.Â
